UNHOLD is active since 1992 and could maybe be described as a hybrid originating from early nineties (death-) metal and noiserock drenched in hardcore's disenchanting worldview and gut-felt rage, enlighting darkness with a harmony in the right spot. A clenched fist and the never healing wound.
UNHOLD is an ancient term in german for an ogre, a misfit, someone maladjusted and unwilling to please.
Besides some d.i.y.-tours through Europe we had the pleasure to open shows for well-known bands like Sick of it All, Crowbar, Transport League, Endstand, Biohazard or Strife. Our current full-length "Loess" was captured at Serge Mottatel's Rec-Studio where Knut, Brazen, Shora and others recorded as well. We're currently working on new material for our next album, scheduled for early 2008.

I love it!! Really cool. Didn't know there are cool bands around in Switzerland, I only knew boring mainstream metal acts. Well, there WAS once a cool band from Switzerland: The Minstrels, of whom I own a classic record "Grüezi wohl Frau Stirnimaa!" But you are nearly better than them, though it's difficult.
